Hi Steve, I finished reading your book, which is a must do for any cancer and a wonderful opportunity for someone to draw to God as the ultimate healer.  Thanks so much for sharing.  What prompted you to bring the book down today?  Just curious.  Seems timely.

I will share it with those in need.  It has encouraged me in my faith today.

Steve's book was my life line to hope during my initial diagnosis of breast cancer.  The mere words "You have cancer" alter your very being.  I was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammogram.  When suspicious findings prompted more tests, I was assured by all of the doctors that I saw, that it was probably not cancer because I did not fit the "profile".  I didn't smoke, drink, I was not overweight, in fact I had just appeared in several fitness magazines and no one on either side of my family had cancer.  So imagine my surprise (and horror) when it was cancer.

Steve's light hearted approach to a scary subject was disarming and comforting.  He proved the doctor's wrong and beat the odds and he made me feel as though I could too.  His book became my constant companion, especially at night, when a restless mind prevented me from thinking about anything except cancer.  It has been 2 years since my diagnosis and treatment and I am doing well.  I still keep Steve's book on my nightstand and now I too can say I have "done that cancer thing".  The book is a must read for anyone diagnosed with cancer or the friend or loved one of a person facing diagnosis.

“This book presents a sensible, honest approach to looking at cancer by someone who has been there, done that and lived (when he was initially told he would not). I read Steve Cook's book when I was mid-way through my own treatments, and got caught up in how he handled many of the experiences I was going through. I laughed and learned from his outlook and suggestions.

Steve listened to his body, his heart, his loved ones and God, and encourages other cancer patients to do the same. His encouragement to never give up gives his readers a feel good, “You can do it!” attitude that's priceless.

I identified with something in each chapter of Cook’s book. He takes a clear and concise look at the mindset of a cancer patient’s doubts, fears and power when it comes to dealing with family, friends and doctors, and through it all, how to stay focused on living.

Of all the cancer books on my shelf, this is the one I would pick to pass on to a friend in need.”

“Your book was an “easy read” as the saying goes. It was full of truth, humor, perception of humanity, and altogether very interesting!!”

Dear Steve,
My son, Jim, gave me your book because I have recently been diagnosed with colon cancer. I read it in one sitting! It was terrific...very uplifting.....and I really appreciated  the humorous  comments too .I plan to share with a good friend of mine who has lived 2 years with cancer .  The doctors told her she only had 6 months.

Thanks so much for making a difficult time less difficult. I know Jim got a lot
out of reading it too.

I can't type much because of those prickly, cold fingers that chemo gives us ....I'm sure you remember those. I will be glad when my 6 months of chemo & Erbitux are OVER! Thanks again!

Sincerely,

Ann C.
